If you have multiple HomePods linked together to create a group, you might need to ungroup them first. From this menu, you should see a gear icon that you’ll need to tap. Finally, tap Ungroup Accessories to continue. [1] X Research source
Tap Remove to confirm and the HomePod will reset to factory settings. If your HomePod is unresponsive or if you don’t have an active Wi-Fi network, you may have more luck with the other methods.
If you see the HomePod in your Home app after you do this, you’ll have to remove it manually, which is as easy as going to the HomePod in the Home app and tapping Remove Accessory.
The original HomePod does not feature a USB-C port and cannot connect to your computer.
Once it’s connected to your computer, you’ll see the lights on top flash orange.
